In this system the ink is placed in the closed cup unit which is placed on the etched plate.

• Very suitable for in-line machines(constant printer monitoring is not necessary)
  
• No ink tray as given in the open ink well system.
  
• Short or medium shift stops do not make any problem (no drying even during overnight stops). Therefore production efficiency is higher.
  
• Two component ink systems have a longer pot life.
